When you arrive at Elm Cottage, you step into a converted farm building arranged over two floors with space to spread out. The ground floor holds a living room with television and a kitchen-dining area where you can cook proper meals, along with a bathroom. Upstairs are three bedrooms—one with a double bed, another with two singles and two bunks, the third with two singles—plus a shower room and ensuite, giving flexibility for how you arrange your group. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.
The property is set within a converted courtyard farm near the edge of the Peak District, roughly six miles from Alton Towers. The Manifold Valley is close by, known for one of England's better cycle routes; shops, a pub and restaurant are about a mile away. Dovedale, the market towns of Ashbourne, Leek, Matlock and Bakewell, and Chatsworth House with its thousand acres of parkland are all within reach for days out. A private hot tub is available at additional cost, and there is parking on site. Electricity, bed linen and wifi are included; you'll find a washing machine indoors and a tumble dryer in the shared laundry room. One well-behaved pet can stay. The cottage is non-smoking throughout.

Lovely location and an ideal cottage providing value for money, especially when travelling with children. We paid additional for the hottub , unfortunately this was not set correctly on the first day. However, the owners could not have been more helpful; we were refunded and by the next day it was up and running. The interior of the cottage could do with a refresh but it was comfortable and clean with ample space, lovely and warm with constant hot water. Overall I think this is excellent value for money and in a perfect spot to explore Ashbourne and visit local attractions.

Lovely place for a weekend away with friends. Property furnishings looking a bit tired and mattress in downstairs room very soft and uncomfortable. Overall, a clean and comfortable house, that was great for our yearly girls weekend away!

This is our second stay here. Great experiences both times. Hosts live on site so on hand if you need them. All the cottages are ample sized. Really enjoy the hot tubs. The pig, rabbits and horses on the farm are lovely and we enjoyed them. Great shared garden area for kicking a ball around. Nice courtyard around the front which has the sun later in the day. Nice stroll into the village of about a mile and lots of lovely countryside walks as well.

Great small holding farm, clean quiet spacious cottage for 9 no probs ! Owners are very welcoming & nothing a trouble. Great location for Alton towers & the peaks. Small animals & a shared garden space for the kids with swings etc
