Pine Cottage suits larger families, multiple households or groups of friends who want a full house to themselves. The property sleeps 12 across four bedrooms—one double with ensuite on the ground floor, and upstairs two doubles, one with bunks attached, and a bedroom with two singles plus bunks. Three bathrooms mean mornings run smoothly. The ground floor has a living room with television and DVD player, and a kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and full-sized fridge and freezer for serious cooking or self-catering over several days.
The farm sits just outside the Peak District National Park, with Alton Towers theme park six miles away and Dovedale within reach for walks. Cycle hire is available locally, and the Manifold Valley nearby is known for its trail routes. Matlock, Bakewell, Ashbourne and Leek are all accessible for market-town browsing. Chatsworth House—1000 acres with a working farmyard—makes an afternoon out. A pub, shop and restaurant are a mile down the road. A travel cot and highchair are on hand for younger children. One pet is welcome. The property has its own parking, a private hot tub (charged separately), and an enclosed garden shared with other holiday properties on the site. Electricity, heating, bed linen and Wi-Fi are included. No smoking is permitted.

Lovely location and an ideal cottage providing value for money, especially when travelling with children. We paid additional for the hottub , unfortunately this was not set correctly on the first day. However, the owners could not have been more helpful; we were refunded and by the next day it was up and running. The interior of the cottage could do with a refresh but it was comfortable and clean with ample space, lovely and warm with constant hot water. Overall I think this is excellent value for money and in a perfect spot to explore Ashbourne and visit local attractions.

Lovely place for a weekend away with friends. Property furnishings looking a bit tired and mattress in downstairs room very soft and uncomfortable. Overall, a clean and comfortable house, that was great for our yearly girls weekend away!

This is our second stay here. Great experiences both times. Hosts live on site so on hand if you need them. All the cottages are ample sized. Really enjoy the hot tubs. The pig, rabbits and horses on the farm are lovely and we enjoyed them. Great shared garden area for kicking a ball around. Nice courtyard around the front which has the sun later in the day. Nice stroll into the village of about a mile and lots of lovely countryside walks as well.

Great small holding farm, clean quiet spacious cottage for 9 no probs ! Owners are very welcoming & nothing a trouble. Great location for Alton towers & the peaks. Small animals & a shared garden space for the kids with swings etc
