Kingsley Hollow Cottage
Staffordshire Moorlands
View on Google MapsKingsley Hollow Cottage is equipped for self-catering without fuss. Three bedrooms sleep six: the main has a double bed, en-suite shower and countryside views; a second double works for couples or older children; the third contains bunks for younger guests. Two further bathrooms—one en-suite, one family bathroom with both bath and shower—mean people aren't queuing. Downstairs, the lounge has a corner sofa and Smart TV, while the kitchen and dining area are laid out for straightforward cooking, whether that's breakfast before heading out or supper when everyone returns. Bed linen, towels, WiFi and electricity are included; on-site parking takes up to four vehicles.
The cottage sits in the village of Kingsley, ten minutes' drive from Alton Towers. For families mixing theme-park days with quieter time, that proximity matters. Beyond the rides, the surrounding area holds nature reserves, woodland trails and the Churnet Valley Railway, which runs nostalgic steam journeys. Hawksmoor and Dimmingsdale offer walks from the door. A garden provides space for children and dogs to move about; one dog is welcome to stay. The outdoor seating area works well in warmer months. Smoking is not permitted.
