Alton The Star Camping and Caravanning Club Site

Great site, lovely friendly staff. Only a few minutes walk to the local pub, we used the gate at the bottom of the field that we were camped on and it couldn't have taken us more than 3 minutes. I've you are parked on grass make sure you have your levellers with you. Pitches were all a good size. There were plenty of toilets and showers. We will definitely return.

Fantastic site, perfect location for visiting alton towers. We recently visited for a 3 night stay so we could visit Alton towers and we were pleasantly surprised. I do think the facilities are looking a little tired but never the less this is a great site.

Situated just two miles from Alton Towers theme park so ideal for a weekend visit. Right on the edge of the Peak District so loads of places to visit. Clean facilities and very friendly staff. Worth a visit.

Lovely quiet clean tidy site Even seen wardens weeding gravel pitches Wardens very helpful It was our first time with a caravan thr warden chose us an easy pitch as much of site is on slight slope (Used levelling wedges/ pads ) as did most people .I didn’t use ladies facilities as we got in them in the caravan but 3 males used the men the warden said men can use family blocks too as they are short on men’s showers Blokes said nice clean hot shower but short wash (have to keep pressing the button) to keep water on ! Gate closes at 11 pm (I think) code to get in so feels secure Noticed nice play area for kids Alton towers close by Trentham gardens and monkey Forrest are worth a visit about 30 mins drive Nice pub walking distance but posh pub food My lot like it simple so we went to the tavern 10 mins drive away nice pub good food average price £15 a main meal Booked with caravan camping deal so great value for money
