Lovely CAMC site. Ablutions are kept clean and the pitches are good sizes. The 5mph site speed limit feels laborious when you're driving but very safe when walking around, especially with dogs on long leads, plenty of time to get your dogs back in. Loads of birdlife, the dawn chorus is amazing. There's deer around the site and often seals just off the shore.

We only stayed here for one night while touring. The wardens are friendly and helpful, the facilities are first class and the views are amazing, I never tire of watching the little boats fishing, I noticed a few boats parked in the site and when I woke up this morning they had all gone out. A truly lovely place, I wish it was local to us, but next time in this area we shall come again. Thank you

Been using this site for 15 plus years now and always loved it this years however the site is only half open with one toilet block, apparently due to lack of visitors, the site is starting to look tired and I think it needs to be modernised with some hard standing and serviced pitches, the toilets haven't changed in all the time we've been coming, come on CAMC your not the cheapest for site fees sort it out its a great location!

Possibly my favourite place on planet Earth for getting away from it all in the caravan. The epitome of peaceful tranquility in nature. The site is run by the Caravan and Motorhome Club to a standard which is a benchmark others should try and emulte. Also a stargazer and birdwatchers paradise. Note that apart from a small village shop about a mile away, the nearest supermarket is about 15 miles away. This is a campsite with no rooms to hire.
