About Edgehill Country Park
For a wild countryside setting in the middle of Shakespeare country, escape to Edgehill Country Park – a deliberately basic, back-to-nature site near the Edge Hill escarpment, where the first major battle of the English Civil War took place. Set among open fields beside mature woodland, right on the edge of the Cotswolds National Landscape, it's a genuine wildlife haven with loads of room for kids to roam and explore.
Guest numbers are kept low to preserve the peaceful atmosphere, and you're free to choose your own pitch across the generous space. Facilities are intentionally minimal to keep the experience natural and costs down: an amenities block with toilets, one shower and washing-up area (not on mains sewerage, so bring your own soap). A warden visits periodically to check all's well.
Four local pubs serving food lie within walking distance – two via roads, two across fields – while a small village five minutes' drive away offers shops, a butcher, more pubs and a takeaway. The unpolished approach won't suit everyone, but for those seeking an authentic, low-key countryside escape, it's hard to beat.

Back to basic camping hook up if needed by coin meter does have toilets shower and washer dryer on site. If you prefer star gazing to a slouch on the couch this is a good place to be. We came out of season so socializing was not an option but a small compact site to do so in season. Great location for exploring the Cotswolds by car.

Amazing little campsite! Has a lovely wooded play place which the children absolutely loved! Toilets and showers were clean and good washing up facilities easy water access at each pitch and electric hook up at some. The staff are amazing! My campervan broke down and Scott tried to fix if for me I can't say enough how lovely and kind hearted the staff are such good hearted people. If I could give 10 stars I would i just wish more camp sites were like this.

The site itself is ideally located if you want to explore the Cotswolds. Facilities are basic but very acceptable. Clean and well maintained. The site was quiet when we visited but sadly we were made to feel uncomfortable by staff. We arrived just after 8pm. We had parked with our van facing other campers but the front of our van is sealed off by a window cover and we camp out the back of the van so not to be seen or on looking other campers. I switched the engine on around 8:15pm for 4 mins max to blow up our airbed. Staff approached us to turn our headlights off. They were off, it was only the day time running lights on, she was worried it would disturb other campers. I explained we would only be a couple of mins to which I was challenged as to why I needed my engine running. I was then asked to be more considerate in future when camping. We felt very uncomfortable from then forward worrying about doing anything in fear of being ‘told off’. We left early for this reason. I totally understand the reason for approaching us if the concern was disturbing others for 4 mins whilst be blew the bed up but the approach and choice of words could have been different.

Really clean and nice campsite. The staff were very friendly and accommodating even thought it was busy. Toilets always clean but showers need updating. There was a small bit of forest at the bottom which my son and other chileten visiting throughly enjoyed exploring. I think it would benefit from a children's playground at the bottom. We had a fantastic stay and will come back again.
