About Chertsey Caravan Park
Chertsey Caravan Park sits on the banks of the River Thames in Surrey, with walking paths along the water forming part of its appeal. Pitches are generously sized, and the site maintains them to a high standard. You get modern shower blocks with hot water, and staff are known for being both friendly and helpful. The setting is genuinely picturesque – the river and towpath walks are immediate neighbours rather than a drive away.
This is a comfortable, well-run site that charges accordingly; it is not budget camping. A pub and a hotel are within easy walking distance, and Chertsey town centre is nearby if you need shops or services beyond the site itself.

What visitors say
Toilet/shower facilities were always lovely and clean, generally helpful staff. Pitches hadnt been mowed in a quite a while - long grass and large weeds and then on our departure day a ride on mower came right to the edge of our when lots of other pitches were unoccupied and unmowed. Pitches weren't clearly marked and were nowhere near 6 meters apart for fire safety even though it was written everywhere, washing up areas covered in dead bugs every morning. Great though for being close legoland and Kew Gardens which is why we booked the site.

Just had 7 nights here. Lovely kept campsite, great clean facilities, very friendly and helpful staff. Great location, lovely pub next door. They all so have a food van on site that opens at the weekend. Lots of wildlife around, great to see the parakeets. Only downside to this campsite is the planes that fly low overhead, but it wouldn't stop us from visiting again.

Stunning view early in the morning. Very peaceful campsite near the river Thames. You may hear the sound of the lock in the night. The tall trees make home to so many birds. They leave enough space between the motorhomes. The facilities are clean and well maintained.

Stayed for a week over Easter/ school holidays as a family of three. All members of the site team were friendly and welcoming. We had a issue with our electric hook up which was resolved quickly and professionally. The site is kept to a high standard. Lovely and clean. Great location for visiting Legoland/ chessington/ Windsor castle and train into central London. Would recommend this site! Will be sure to return! We also ordered a Chinese to reception from the local takeaway in cherstey- was very nice 🙂
