Laleham Camping Club

Laleham Park & Riverside Lands, Thames Side, Staines-upon-Thames, Staines TW18 1SS, UK

Thames-side pitching in Laleham Park near Staines, about 7 miles from Windsor

About Laleham Camping Club

Laleham Camping Club occupies a slice of open riverside parkland on the Thames between Staines and Chertsey, just five minutes from the M25 and roughly seven miles from Windsor. The 98 grass pitches are generously sized at nine metres square and take everything from tents to motorhomes, with electric hook-up available as an optional extra. Because the site sits within public parkland rather than behind private gates, it has an uncluttered, accessible feel that particularly suits canvas campers, though the arrangement can leave it feeling a little exposed when busy.

A central amenity block provides free hot showers, toilets and laundry facilities, plus a small camp store for essentials. Direct access to the Thames makes it popular with paddlers, and the surrounding park and towpath give plenty of space for dogs—two are allowed per pitch. Laleham village, with its pubs, is a ten-minute riverside walk, while Staines offers supermarkets and a station linking to central London in around forty minutes. Windsor, Runnymede and Legoland are all within easy driving distance.

Beautiful Campsite had everything we needed and more, we got turned away from Walton on Thames as we didn't have our own toilet ,but these guys let us stay on a busy Friday summer night for the weekend. Has an old school 90s vibe with loads kids playing in the park they have games and TV room plus a very tidy showers and toilet block. Site is right next to river Thames with play parks and river walking paths, easy access to London. We'll definitely be staying again we highly recommended this site.

Lovely, well organised campsite with friendly staff and excellent facilities. Everything was clean, and it's just a short walk to the banks of the River Thames, where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets and lovely views. It's also conveniently located close to several theme parks, making it a great choice for families wanting to combine a camping trip with a fun day out. We'll definitely be coming back!

The site had everything we needed for our stay. Pros : It has a games room with a pool and ping pong table. You have to leave a deposit to use the pool cues and bats. It has play equipment, a grass pitch with football goals and a snadpit in the middle of the site, meaning we could see our kids playing whilst cooking. The shower heads were so good (sometimes it's the small details 😅) Staff were helpful and friendly Cons : It was a little dated and rough around the edges in some ways, such as the play equipment was quite old, the washing up/laundry room needs updating. The road around the site is very bumpy in places. The site is on Heathrow flight path, can be noisy for some. However, perfect for us as our daughter loved watching the planes. No shop on site, nearest shop was a 15/20 minute walk and was quite expensive. On arrival you approach a gate, you have to open the gate and drive into the site. The gates lock at 8PM, we returned to the site at 8:45pm on our second night, not realsing they locked so early. We rang the number loads but there was no answer. Luckily we found a member of staff walking around the site and he came to let us in.

This site is in my top 5 sites Spacious pitches for Motorhomes, Campervans (which I was in), Caravans and tents of all kinds. Ideal for trains into London from Staines short taxi ride to the station. Walks along the Thames either way you'll bump into a pub seving food. Excellent, clean facilities. Friendly staff, very helpful. I must admit at the low price of £15 or a extra £10 with EHU I didn't really expect much as a lot of sites in the area are priced bit to high £30/£40 and I can't see how that they can have better facilities. I booked an extra 2 nights handy for Brooklands Museum and other surrounding attractions. So don't be put off by the low price. If I'm ever this way again or decide to go into London this is the place for me. I put these reviews on Pitch up, searchforsites, park4night, Google, TripAdvisor. It's a up and coming site with plenty of enthusiasm to make it even better.
