Riverside Club site by Chertsey Bridge, roughly 9 miles south-east of Windsor
About Chertsey Camping and Caravanning Club Site
The Camping and Caravanning Club's Chertsey site occupies a handsome riverside spot beside Chertsey Bridge, with roughly 150 pitches arranged in bays beneath mature limes and horse chestnuts. Parakeets chatter in the canopy overhead, and the Thames runs along one edge where seasonal fishing is permitted. It's an unusually flexible Club site, offering everything from simple grass pitches to hardstanding super-service plots with mains water, waste drainage and TV points, plus oversized grass pitches for larger outfits. Non-members are welcome to join on arrival, with rates starting around fourteen pounds a night.
Facilities are kept to the Club's usual standard—showers, family and accessible washrooms, laundry, motorhome services, a small shop, wi-fi, a recreation hall and children's play area. Dogs are welcome and benefit from a dedicated walk and wash station. The site stays open year-round, a genuine advantage if you're visiting Windsor or London out of season. Chertsey town and station are within walking distance, with trains reaching central London in roughly fifty minutes, making this a surprisingly practical base for the capital as well as for Windsor, Runnymede and the Thames Valley.

What visitors say
Just had 7 nights here. Lovely kept campsite, great clean facilities, very friendly and helpful staff. Great location, lovely pub next door. They all so have a food van on site that opens at the weekend. Lots of wildlife around, great to see the parakeets. Only downside to this campsite is the planes that fly low overhead, but it wouldn't stop us from visiting again.

Stayed for a week over Easter/ school holidays as a family of three. All members of the site team were friendly and welcoming. We had a issue with our electric hook up which was resolved quickly and professionally. The site is kept to a high standard. Lovely and clean. Great location for visiting Legoland/ chessington/ Windsor castle and train into central London. Would recommend this site! Will be sure to return! We also ordered a Chinese to reception from the local takeaway in cherstey- was very nice 🙂

Down from up North for the week and working locally, booked a pitch for me, my Motorhome and my Dog. Initially called to make the booking as a non member, rather than just booking online, as I need to know what time Id be allowed to leave in a morning befire I booked and couldn'tfind that informationon the web site. Phoned on Monday lunchtime but got an answerphone, so left a message. I was called back by a very polite gentleman who was very cheerful and helpful. I made our booking and I've been here for 3 night's so far of my 4 night stay. On arrival I was greeted by name by the guy who answered the phone, and his wife. I checked in, and was shown to our pitch by the lady who explained where everything was oriented from our pitch. Very good, pleasant service. Site is clean and tidy, it's peaceful, to the point that is at all possible in the London area, right by the Thames where there's plenty of walking for the dog just across the Chertsey Bridge. There are two pubs, one either side of the river bridge, both serving food and a small convenience store just across the road from the site entrance. Toilet and shower blocks are modern warm and clean with free push button showers with plenty of hot water. They even have a dog wash room for the times when you get back from a muddy walk around the local meadowland and Rover needs his feet washing before you let him back in your van! There's a motorhome service point just before the exit and the barrier is opened at 07:00 so the site is secured overnight. Loving my stay here as its a great place to sit out in the sun for an hour when I'm back from work and Dave Dog is loving the walks along the Thames. All the utilised pitches are nicely spaced out and everyone is polite and respectful, no noisy neighbours or unsightly units. Even the views from the pitch on site are lovely, looking across the river, to the views beyond, you really wouldn't believe you're in a city here. We will not hesitate in booking again next time we are down here.

Stunning view early in the morning. Very peaceful campsite near the river Thames. You may hear the sound of the lock in the night. The tall trees make home to so many birds. They leave enough space between the motorhomes. The facilities are clean and well maintained.
