Tucked into a quiet corner in the village of Pen-clawdd, this smartly designed wooden cabin has a stylish open-plan living space with cosy sofa and vast flatscreen TV, plus an immaculate modern kitchen. Two bedrooms (one double, one with bunks) and a sofa bed sleep up to six, while the gleaming tiled shower room completes the picture.

Outside, the private fenced garden comes with a barbecue for outdoor feasts and a cute wooden hut for admiring those estuary views on chillier evenings. The pool is open 10am to 6pm daily, though if you fancy a proper swim, you're right on the edge of the Gower National Landscape – spectacular sandy beaches like Three Cliffs Bay and Rhossili are just a short hop away.
