Sheltered, wooded riverside site at Parkmill, a short walk from Three Cliffs Bay

About Riverside Camping and Caravan Park

Riverside Camping and Caravan Park sits in a wooded valley at Parkmill, on the banks of the stream that runs down to Three Cliffs Bay. The sheltered, green setting feels more protected than the exposed clifftop sites nearby, making it a comfortable choice in poor weather when windswept pitches can lose their appeal. Facilities are family-focused: the indoor pool with its slide is a hit with children, and there's a well-equipped play area, clubhouse entertainment, and a small shop and café on site. The toilet and shower blocks are kept clean, though the park can feel crowded and a little neglected during busy periods.

Footpaths lead directly from the site down to Three Cliffs Bay, so you can reach one of Gower's finest beaches on foot without needing to join the parking scrum. The working watermill at the adjacent Gower Heritage Centre is worth a look, and Parkmill village—with its pub and tea rooms—is just a short stroll away. Dogs are welcome all year, and the central location puts both southern beaches and western villages within easy reach by car.

Great site, lots of fun. There are a lot of bad reviews, bit I can honestly say that I don't know what people want for £30 a night. Me, my wife, dog and two young children had a lovely time. Toilets/showers are lovely and clean, the staff are always in and out, making sure they are clean. Club house is lots of fun, shows/entertainment for the kids. I can't comment on later on in the evening, but apparently they have singers/bands. The park is great fun for the children. There is a lovely lake that you can fish in, or walk around. The river is just over the other side of the fence that you can cut through. All in all, a great stay, thanks to all involved.

So recently stayed here with our folding camper for 3 nights will honestly say we enjoyed ourselves 2 kids 2 adults been to many places and this will be one we return. After reading some reviews of this place we were a little dubious of how it would be let's just say some of the bad reviews are a little over the top. So let's start with arriving at front gates ok the place is jam packed with caravan of all shapes and size and yes does look a little untidy but and condensed but that's nothing to worry over if you consider price and what u get is fab for a campsite went to reception the people were lovely very helpful and polite so no complaints there all the areas were clean I'd go as far as saying the toilets/shower block were some of the cleanest ice see and that's the men's toilet the dish washing area was lovely with wash machines and tumble dryers. On to the swimming pool yes swimming pool that was fab for the kids they had absolute blast it's indoor pool with a little slide was awesome for the kids although it's not manned by a life guard to me not a real issues as it's free to use. Then you got a nice big park again the kids loved only issue is it's close to main entrance/ way in way out and no real path for kids to use and was rather busy but people drove sensible knowing kids were about. Then you got the club house indoor and outdoor area with patio heaters for when it gets chilly inside was great with bingo and live entertainment and reasonable priced drinks in turn makes for a good evening they do have like a kids club at times also have a small shop and a nice chip shop then you have the top end of the side with a beautiful lake with many geese and ducks also does offer fishing at an extra cost the only thing I would say the place needs is some dog poo bins as a there was many dogs around including my own but if I'm to be totally honest never saw any dog mess left anywhere there are plenty of regular bins about so no big deal on the weekend we were there they had a car boot sale onsite which was good for a little nose. So to conclude to us it felt like a mini holiday rather than camping in a field and will definitely be back for more great family trips glad we came and didn't listen to some of the negative reviews honestly go make your own opinions Thanks for having us see you again very soon👍👍

Dont know where to start . As you drive in there’s a row of travellers caravans to the left not a good sign although I had no problems with them or the staff . Other holiday makers were just dragging it down further the smell of weed is everywhere I went to the toilets and people were smoking in there too . Some of the more permanent residents allow their kids to pretty much do what they want swearing, drinking, smoking, smashing golf balls around parked caravans and campers . I was on edge the entire time waiting for something to get smashed or kick off . Our break was cut short by a group of guys that turned up in a tent blasting music out and smoking unbelievable amounts of weed . We had small young children that couldn’t settle due to noise so we decided to pack up at 10 pm and head home . Just do some research on this site before hand it might well be perfect for you and that’s fine but for many others probably not . We made the best of a bad situation and stayed out doing activities all day just coming back to sleep
