About Mercure Swansea Hotel
A 24-hour dining bar is one of the more unusual perks at Mercure Swansea Hotel, a straightforward, informal base set on Phoenix Way overlooking a lake. It's the kind of place where you can get food at odd hours, whether that's after a late arrival or before an early start, and the on-site pool adds a practical extra for anyone staying a few nights.
Rooms and suites here are kept simple rather than luxurious, with en-suite bathrooms, family rooms and accessible options available, plus the usual conveniences of room service, laundry service and lift access. Breakfast, packed lunches and kids' meals are all catered for, and the restaurant and bar cover most dining needs without guests having to leave the building. There's also a gym, meeting rooms and business facilities for those travelling with work in mind, along with a garden, picnic area and outdoor seating for a change of scene.
The hotel welcomes pets and offers free on-site parking, useful for exploring further afield. Swansea's Marina and the National Waterfront Museum are within easy reach, and the Gower beaches are accessible for a day trip, while golf, fishing and watersports are all noted as nearby activities for anyone looking to fill the days beyond the hotel itself.
What guests say
Stayed for a night with family (2 adults and 2 kids) in room 137 and do not have anything good to say. The room is very outdated and the carpets are disgusting, full of big stains all over! We had a single foldable bed next to the double bed, but it was so low that it felt almost like laying down on the floor! Thats not what I expect to get in the hotel when I pay money to stay there! Luckily sofa bed was big enough for 2 kids, so nobody had to sleep on the foldable bed. Was very dissapointed with the room, even Premier In and Travelodge rooms are better and cheaper than this. Definitely will not be staying there again.

Took a u3a group to Pembrokeshire recently and stayed here. The staff were excellent and went above and beyond in making us feel welcome and comfortable. There was an issue with a couple of the rooms and they were moved to other ones. Rooms adequate and clean. Good for our party as most of the rooms were on the ground floor. The food was excellent and the breakfast had lots of choice. Found this to be a very friendly and lovely place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay and felt very comfortable throughout. As a family with two kids, we really appreciated the spacious room, it gave us plenty of space to relax without feeling cramped. The cleanliness was excellent, and the overall atmosphere made it feel warm and welcoming, almost like being at home. The reception team gave us a lovely welcome on arrival, which set a positive tone for our stay. Parking was also very convenient, making everything easy for us as a family. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable experience, and we would definitely be happy to stay again.
