Ty Berllan is a single-bedroom cottage on the Gower Peninsula, a stretch of Welsh coastline known for sandy beaches, dunes, and moorland walks. The property sits at the end of a row of three cottages, each with its own raised terrace, on 30 acres of grounds near Gowerton. Inside, the ground floor holds a living and dining room with exposed beams and a quarry-tiled floor, plus a kitchen with electric cooking facilities. Upstairs, a galleried double bedroom connects to an ensuite bathroom with a bath and shower. The cottage is double-glazed throughout and heated electrically; bed linen, towels and wifi are included.
Guests have use of a shared games room equipped with table tennis and a pool table. Outside, a private garden with lawn and seating areas opens from the terrace, and there is parking for one car on site. A cycle track nearby connects to the Mumbles, where a lighthouse and lifeboat station sit above the promenade. Penclawdd, three miles away, is known for its cockle fishermen who work the mudflats at low tide using horse-drawn carts. The Gower's beaches offer rock pools and windsurfing, while inland moorland provides birdwatching and riding opportunities. No smoking is permitted in the cottage. This property is reserved for adults only.

My wife, 2 young children and I, had never been to this area before. We'd heard it was beautiful and wanted to ensure we booked a nice cottage for the stay, and boy we struck gold. The location was on a farm, with some lovely animals nearby, and had the quietness of being rural, but also there were shops within walking distance. The cottage was situated perfectly to visit before North and South coasts. We mainly done South as were advised better for children. The cottage itself was lovely. Had plenty of character, all the facilities you'd expect (and more). Plenty of space for the 4 of us too. Reliable WiFi (although we don't let WiFi determine our choices of where to holiday). Car parking is private and right outside the cottage. Games room round the side too with table tennis and a pool table. The biggest stand out for us was the host - David. He lives in the house just down the way, and has ample knowledge of the area and makes you feel at home straight away. He grew up nearby so there's little he doesn't know. He was super responsive the 1 occasion where we needed him to move a vehicle for us, which gave us comfort he was nearby too. Honestly cannot thank David enough. Overall this HAS to get 5 stars from us.

The cottage we stayed in was perfect for what we needed. It is clean and comfortable and the host was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for trips out on the Gower with no where being more than half an hours drive, even Rosilli Beach at the far end. The only problem the cottage has is that we don't own it!
