Duffryn Farm Cottages - Lily Cottage

Photo: Bill

Lily Cottage works well for families or small groups wanting space without formality. It spreads across three floors: ground level has an open-plan living and dining area with a kitchen for self-catering; the first floor holds a double bedroom, twin room and bathroom with shower; upstairs is a second twin bedroom in the eaves. Linen, towels, heating and wifi are included, along with private parking for two cars. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available if needed. One dog stays free of charge.

The cottage is part of a small terrace on a working farm near Swansea, with shared access to a games room (pool table and books), laundry facilities and a communal lawn. The Gower Peninsula and its walking routes are within reach. The rural setting means wifi signal can be unreliable. No smoking inside. Killan Fawr Garden Centre is nearby.

Duffryn Farm Cottages atlre beyond stunning, the building is amazing, the grounds are outstanding, toys for the kids dotted about, pool table in a games room, there is also washing machines and tumble dryer for us, the cottages are so lovely inside, warm and cozy with everything you need as well as a front area to all get together or a private ish back garden, all with seating provided, beds are comfortable and clean, modern smart TV in front room and a full sized 6 seater dining table, there really isn't anything I could say negative about the place. The owners daughter pppped by and is more than happy to say hello and ask if you need anything and get you what she can. Definately a place to book again.

Just had a week staying here in the Poppy cottage. Very comfortable, clean and plenty of room. New TV which appeared larger than the photos from when we booked. When using the WiFi tip is to use the one ending with Ext as the one in the book in the cottage has a weaker signal. Seperate room with the pool table was excellent which was a highlight for my son. Only issue is when arriving in the dark there is no obvious sign when you turn; the one that is there is further down; you need to keep to the right side track when heading down.

Great location - rural and quiet but just a 10 minute drive from shops/restaurants and good central place from which to explore the Gower. Plenty of space for parking. Picnic tables, large grassy area where the kids can run around, free roaming chickens, ping pong table, washing machines and tumble dryers for everyone to use. Very comfortable beds, accomodation well equipped. We had a fantastic time. Not a criticism whatsoever, but should it be helpful to a reader - this place is probably not for you if you prefer to be walking distance from attractions - it would be a 45 minute + walk down country lanes to get to the nearest built-up area. Likewise, if slow/no wifi is going to frustrate you.

Excellent cottages in an absolutely beautiful setting. The cottages are so lovely and have everything you need inside. Gorgeous outside area to sit in the sunshine and the kids loved playing outside. The family who run the cottages are so lovely and helpful too. The cottages are close to the Gower which has beautiful walks and also a short drive to the city centre. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Swansea I would definitely recommend these stunning cottages.
