The Annexe

A traditional building given new life as a holiday cottage, The Annexe sits in Newton Abbot with character intact and modern essentials installed throughout. Two double bedrooms occupy the first floor, each with its own bathroom—one with a bath and shower, the other a walk-in shower. Downstairs, an open-plan kitchen and dining room flow into a living room where a woodburner takes the chill off cooler evenings and a smart TV provides entertainment on quieter nights. The kitchen handles proper cooking, fitted with a full-size oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine.

Outside, an enclosed garden and patio give ground for sitting out, with parking for two cars on site. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. One well-behaved dog stays free. The cottage accepts guests from 16:00 on arrival, with checkout at 10:00; smoking is not permitted inside.

The location makes sense for exploring the fringes of Dartmoor and the surrounding countryside. Ashburton itself, on the park's edge, has independent shops and pubs within walking distance. Families or small groups of friends looking for countryside comfort without isolation will find what they need here.
