About Greystone Cottage Farm
Perched between Thirsk and Northallerton in the village of Maunby, Greystone Cottage Farm occupies a sweet spot for exploring both the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, with sweeping views across the Vale of York to Sutton Bank thrown in for good measure. This is a small working farm where free-range chickens, curious goats and horses—especially Biscuit the mini pony—will likely become firm favourites with younger campers. Dogs are warmly welcomed, though owners should keep them under control around the livestock.
The set-up is refreshingly unfussy: grass pitches (electric and non-electric), a toilet block, communal fridge-freezer and washing-up area, but no hot water—so bring your own torch for after-dark navigation and embrace the near-wild camping vibe. We’ve just returned home from a 4 night stay here. Sam was really welcoming and friendly. The animals on the farm are a great touch also and is great to have them accessible to view. The toilet block is exceptionally clean. The site is very clean and tidy with very spacious pitches and very flat. We will definitely return again

Fantastic little camp site, clean, flat pitches, fire pits allowed, logs supplied at reasonable prices. Electric hook ups available. Home made honey available to purchase too. Clean facilities. Lovely quiet rural location off the beaten track. And all for just £20 a night! Will definitely be back!

A fantastic peaceful place to stay! The ground is extremely flat, and you get exactly what the write up says!! Nothing is too much bother for Sam and family… ordered eggs and honey and had them at my tent within 20 minutes! Perfect for a peaceful time away
