What visitors say
This fair has been a part of my life for many years and has its own kind of magic to it which is why it remains such a great icon of the area. The staff have always been respectful helpful and kind. The prices are reasonable, and the choice of rides is actually really good in my opinion. I love the old fashioned hook a duck and the helter skelter, yet my kids love the faster rides. A great fair certainly a must do when visiting Hunstanton.

Visited Rainbow Park with three friends and, as always, had a good laugh. It's usually a fun place to spend an hour or two. The only thing that really let the experience down was one member of staff. We'd just spent around £20 between us playing the football game, and I noticed they were also selling one of the England shirts that was hanging up as a prize. We'd even asked the member of staff running the stall about it, as I was considering buying it. I then took it off the hook while standing right next to the stall, with my three friends beside me, to check the size, tags and quality. I didn't move away from the stand at any point, I was simply looking it over before deciding whether to buy it. A young member of staff from a completely different ride suddenly started shouting across at me, asking, "Are you going to buy that?" in quite an aggressive tone. I replied, "Maybe," because I was genuinely deciding. He then repeatedly shouted that I wasn't allowed to take it off the hook. I explained that I was considering buying it and simply wanted to check the size and tags first, as most people would when buying clothing. Rather than answering what I was saying or having a conversation, he just kept repeating the same thing over and over. The conversation went round in circles for around a minute while people were waiting for him to start the ride he was operating. Eventually I simply put the shirt back, laughed it off and walked away. If anything, the interaction completely put me off buying it. As someone who was genuinely considering buying it, it was a very strange experience. I was standing at the stall, with my three friends beside me, looking at an item they were actively selling after already asking the member of staff about it. Instead of being treated like someone considering a purchase, I was repeatedly shouted at for simply inspecting it. Afterwards, I asked the staff member on the football stand what that was all about, and they explained that they "didn't know us" and that the park "doesn't have doors like a shop." I still found that explanation confusing, as customers generally need to pick up clothing to check the size and tags before deciding whether to buy it. Perhaps he'd had a long day or the 30°C heat had got to him, but it came across as confrontational for no reason at all. Thankfully, this isn't representative of my previous visits, which have always been enjoyable. It was just a genuinely bizarre interaction that left all four of us scratching our heads.

Good variety of attractions for all ages and thrill levels. Good pricing for the rides but card payment speeds vary due to a poor signal in the area. Would prefer a wristband option or rechargeable card to help manage your spending. Also the Waltzer is very rough. Would prefer an updated website which shows what rides are available and their prices.
