Court Prior Boutique B&B and Apartment

I travelled to Devon in search of the original cream tea, not really knowing what kind of place Torquay was. The beautiful sea and sky were memorable, but above all, the warmth of the hosts was the best part. From the moment I arrived, the gentleman host Anthony opened the door with a smile and welcomed me. Throughout my stay, he always asked kindly if I was comfortable, which made me feel reassured. He was truly a gentle and well-mannered English gentleman. The lady host Pauline also gave me thoughtful travel advice, thanks to which I was able to spend my time more meaningfully. Every morning I enjoyed yoghurt made with rhubarb and plums they had grown themselves, a variety of breads, and even special dishes. It was such a lovely way to start the day. The room was cosy and comfortable, and the bathroom was modern as well. Although Torquay itself is not really a place designed for sightseeing, I will always remember it fondly because of this B&B. Court Prior is absolutely fabulous, and the thing that makes is so good is the owners, Pauline and Anthony, who have created and maintained the most beautiful B & B you can imagine. As soon as we pulled up in the drive both Pauline and Anthony came out to greet us and nothing was too much trouble during our stay. The house has been beautifully restored to it's Victorian spendour and was immaculately clean throughout. Our bedroom was beautifully decorated and a really good size ........ And when it comes to the breakfast ..... well, what can I say ....fantastic! You will be able to find cheaper B & Bs in Torquay, but I very much doubt if you will find a better one, OR such good value for money. Pauline & Anthony's hosting is incredible, and although I know that it is far from it ......... they make it look effortless! If you are looking to stay in Torquay, I would recommend that you look no further than Court Prior!

We just recently stayed in the suite at Court Prior. Wow! What a beautiful house. Anthony and Pauline are amazing hosts and we have never felt so comfortable and well looked after during a weekend stay. We travel for weekend escapes several times a year and this is without a doubt the best place we have stayed in. Breakfast was great. The BLT I can highly recommend. If you want a clean, friendly and luxurious break away from the stresses of work and life, then this is the place to stay. Thank you Pauline and Anthony. We will be back!

Anthony and Pauline are perfect host's. Great recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants. There B and B is second to none. Located in a beautiful area of Torbay, 7 to 10 minutes walk from the sea front. The quality of service is outstanding. The breakfast is wide ranging with locally sourced produce which is why its the best breakfast ever . Without a doubt, this will be our go to place to stay for future visits. Can't recommend enough. 10/10 there is nothing that could make it better.
