About The Cimon
Torquay's stretch of the English Riviera is built for lazy days by the water, and The Cimon on Abbey Road puts guests within easy reach of both the beach and the town centre. This is a 12-room guest house rather than a large hotel, and it makes a point of the personal touches that come with that scale, including a welcoming team on hand around the clock.
Rooms are en-suite and come with free WiFi, and are consistently described as generously sized and immaculately kept, with comfortable beds. Breakfast is served each morning with a good variety on offer, setting guests up for a day exploring the coast. Outside, a heated outdoor pool with sun loungers and a bar creates a holiday atmosphere that guests often compare favourably to being abroad, while the garden and on-site bar offer further spots to unwind.
Beyond the grounds, Torquay offers golf, fishing and watersports nearby, along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy reach. Free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward, and a laundry service and meeting rooms are also available for those who need them.

What guests say
Absolutely gorgeous little hotel, service here is 10/10, hosts and guests are incredibly friendly and chatty. Breakfast was included in the price and was perfect - had to do pre orders for the next day which we actually prefer, it meant that the food wasn’t rushed and was hot as it was cooked to order. Pool is amazing! Felt like we were abroad in Tenerife, especially during the heatwave. The water is heated to a perfect temperature and is spotless, plenty of sun loungers to have a sunbathe, and some music in the background to relax to. The rooms are lovely, spacious and ours included a fridge (a godsend in the 30° temps). Comfortable bed and the room was spotless too. Sheets and towels were changed half way through our stay. The room came with body wash and shampoo, flannels, cotton buds and pads, and a little hot drink station with more than enough for multiple hot drinks. Overall, very impressed and glad we came here. Many thanks to Jamie and Julia - you’ve created a wonderful little place. Worth every penny - we’ll definitely be back!

The hotel was lovely, our room was pretty much perfect. The bonus of free, safe parking on site was amazing. The hosts were beyond exceptional. They were helpful, kind, friendly but not pushy, just genuinely nice people. The food was very nice. But the absolute stand out was the pool and bar area, it was just wonderful, as good as anything we have ever experienced. Please go, you will love it.

My wife and I have just returned from a fantastic 2 night stay at this wonderful guest house. It is run by an amazing husband and wife team, Jamie and Julia. We stayed in a Superior Seaview Room on the third floor. The room was very spacious and bright. It featured an extremely comfortable super king size bed, a small en-suite bathroom featuring a shower. Amenities included a flat screen TV, albeit with limited channels, complimentary tea and coffee, with biscuits. A mini fridge, free WiFi (password required) and USB sockets, which is very useful indeed. The room had a lovely view overlooking Torbay. There is a nice little bar/conservatory downstairs which has a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. These can be enjoyed in the patio amongst the lovely flowers and palm trees. Breakfast is served in the conservatory each morning. You can choose from a full English, to cereals, croissants, fruit pots, juices, and of course a selection of tea and coffee. The unique selling point of the Cimon is the 30 ft heated outdoor pool. It has an all-around depth of 4ft, which is nice. There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols around the pool to relax or catch some English Riviera sunshine. With the palm trees, you feel like you're abroad, and not in south west England. I would highly recommend The Cimon to anyone. It has a fantastic location, 5 mins to the beach and 20 mins to the harbour. We can't wait to come back again!! Thank you Jamie and Julia for your kind hospitality!!
