Tarkas Den Log Cabin, Stowford

Westward Ho!, Clovelly and Bideford lie within easy reach, as do the open moorlands of Dartmoor and Exmoor with their walking trails and wildlife. This timber cabin on the Torridge makes a base for exploring Devon and Cornwall's coast and countryside. The cabin itself is a timber-built retreat set back from the road, with rolling views across the rural landscape and its own parking on site.

Inside, the living space is open-plan with a kitchen that's equipped for self-catering, a dining table and comfortable seating arranged around a wood-burning stove. Three bedrooms sleep five: a double with an en-suite shower room, a twin, and a single with a pull-out bed for children. There's a family bathroom with a bath. Bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are all included. Outside is a private hot tub for warming up after a day's exploring or walking, and from April to October a seasonal heated indoor pool is available to guests.

The cabin does not permit smoking. An EV charger is on site for guests bringing a Type 2 cable. No pets are permitted.
