The Bothy

The Bothy stands in countryside close to where Devon meets Cornwall, with Tamar Lakes less than two miles away and the coast seven miles distant. This single-storey barn conversion sits on the owners' grounds, surrounded by woodland with paths suitable for walking and exercising dogs. Bradworthy village—home to a church, pub and shops—is two miles off; La Rocco Riding School is nearby for those interested in horses.

The property is a one-bedroom, two-bathroom space on ground level, arranged as an open-plan living area with a wood-burner, a separate kitchen with an electric cooker and dishwasher, and a bedroom with a kingsize bed. The two bathrooms include a shower room and a full bath. French doors from the living space lead to an enclosed courtyard garden with patio seating and a barbecue. A freezer in the external store room offers extra capacity. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen, towels and logs for the wood-burner are all supplied; heating comes from electric storage heaters. Two cars can park on site, and there is a bike store.

This is a couples' retreat—children are not accommodated. One dog is welcome. The property is non-smoking, and there is a step within the garden.
