Buzzing cafe. Staff were lovely and friendly, service was very quick. Great price for a really nice coffee. Unfortunately didn't have time for food but meals coming out looked lovely. I was working, at the time, supporting an autistic lady. The lady behind the counter spotted this and told me that carers supporting/on shift can have a drink at a reduced price which was such a welcome and lovely surprise! Thank you.

Came during busy period of day, ordered 2 x breakfast and a kids sausages and chips (substituted chips with hash browns), breakfasts were decent (basic but decent) however the sausages came out as one sausage, was not worth paying £6 for this as a kids meal, tried to feed this back of which the staff were lovely and understood my point that if listed as ‘sausages’ on the menu and no sausage there should be more than one, they said it was to do with management so I asked to feed it back direct to them, young blonde girl comes out ‘well they offered you an extra sausage’ no sorry no taking the point on board, it was obvious that she’s manager based off some kind of family connection rather than skill set which is a shame as let the service of the rest of her staff down, unfortunately won’t be rushing back due to this.

Cheeky Monkey Indoor Play Barn – where kids burn energy and adults regain sanity Took the kids to Cheeky Monkey Indoor Play Barn and honestly… what a lifesaver. From the moment we walked in, it was clear this place knows exactly what it’s doing. Loads of space, brilliant play equipment, and enough climbing, sliding and scrambling to completely exhaust even the most energetic little humans. Mission accomplished. The setup is fantastic — clean, well laid out and safe, with plenty to keep different age groups entertained. The kids disappeared almost instantly and reappeared later sweaty, smiling and asking for snacks (the universal sign of a successful visit). Staff were friendly, helpful and clearly used to dealing with excited children and slightly frazzled parents. Nothing felt rushed and everything was well organised. And let’s talk about the real win… the seating and refreshments. A decent cuppa, somewhere to sit, and five whole minutes where no one needed me? Absolute luxury. All in all, Cheeky Monkey is exactly what an indoor play barn should be — fun, safe, welcoming and a guaranteed way to send kids home tired and happy. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Mablethorpe… and possibly recommending it to every parent we know.
