Great heritage centre with restored Lancaster and Mosquito (only running example left in Europe). We went to their Tanks, Lanc and military machines day which was brilliantly organised and attended. Lots of war time vehicles and equipment on display as well as 1940 music and performances. The tank firing display included a T34 tank which is quite a rarity to see moving ( the one at Blandford Tank Museum is static I believe) in the UK and of course the Lancaster and Mosquito doing runway taxiing which was fabulous. Overall a great day out for families and military aircraft enthusiasts.

Visited on a day when the Lancaster was taxiing, and it was an amazing experience. Seeing and hearing such an iconic aircraft up close was something my aircraft-obsessed teenage son will never forget. There’s a little café on site, along with a well-stocked gift shop. The site also has plenty of interesting information boards and a great collection of World War II artefacts, making it well worth taking the time to explore. A fantastic visit for anyone interested in aviation or history.

Great place. Loads to see. Lovely cafe loads of pictures & paintings. But the best thing is to hear the Lancaster starting up and going up and down the taxi area. You can get really close the noise is fantastic.

Great place for WW2 British Aviation Heritage experience first hand! The exhibits included planes at various stages of restoration including the legendary Lancaster Bomber "Just Jane" and others.. There are other exhibits portraying other aspects of the operation including control rooms, home, bunkers, briefing room, vehicles, actual log books and more. Good visitor facilities also including a really good restaurant cafe, plenty of public toilets and free parking!. I visited with 3 under 8s and they had an amazing time. There is also a small play area for kids to give them some play time in between.
