Willow Lodge

Willow Lodge works well for families and couples seeking a complete change of pace. The three bedrooms—a double on the ground floor, two singles also downstairs, and a galleried double upstairs—sleep six in total. There is one shower room. The ground floor holds an open-plan living and dining space with a kitchen fitted for everyday cooking, plus a separate TV and DVD area. Bed linen, towels and wifi are provided, along with heating and parking on site. The property is not suitable for those with mobility difficulties, as there are steep spiral stairs to the upper floor. Children under ten are not accommodated except babies in arms.

The real draw here is the setting. Willow Lodge overlooks a well-stocked coarse fishing lake, and fishing permits are available for guests. The enclosed garden and decked area face the water, making it a genuinely peaceful spot. A pub lies just a short walk away. For exploring beyond the immediate grounds, Bollingbroke Castle and Snipe Dales Country Park are within reach, while the Lincolnshire coast and Lincoln itself—known for its cathedral and Christmas market—are a short drive. The nearest shops and post office are two miles away. No smoking is permitted in the property. One pet is welcome.
