Wood Farm Camping Lincolnshire

Just got back from 4 nights here. We were warmly welcomed by the warden and his lovely family. They were so helpful and a pleasure to talk with. The pitch was right alongside the fishing lake which was appreciated although it was electric only. All the facilities were spotlessly clean and included a large kitchen area with microwave, fridge and a selection of books. It was so peaceful here and a joy to sit and listen to the birds singing while fishing.

As of March 2026 Tim and family now own the site. Tim was there to greet us on arrival and showed us to the Double Decker bus and explained everything we needed to know. He’d kindly left me a box of choccies as my birthday treat, and brought us teabags when we said we’d forgotten to bring ours. The site is set in peaceful rural surroundings with a small lake where you can fish. It’s dog friendly as well, although I think we liked the 3 white ducks more. We had a lovely comfy seating area outside and a fire pit, which we lit one evening with the wood that had been provided for us. We really couldn’t have had a better short break. Tim was often seen around the site, but never too busy to chat with us or answer our questions. The bus had everything we needed, and was well laid out. Beds were comfy, nice big curtain separates the double bed area from the 2 single beds. The shower was powerful enough and warm. Lots of cleaning products, washing up products and tea towel were also provided. If you’re looking for something different and a bit quirky we would absolutely 100% recommend booking a stay on this Big Red Double Decker bus. We loved it! The only negative is that it’s quite difficult to see where to turn off the main road onto the track that leads to the site. Hopefully Tim is planning some good signage soon.

Beautiful setting gorgeous location, well kept site. We had what we thought was a the best pitch on the site around the fishing pond. We didn't realise that the fishing platforms around the pond, which two of them were on our camping pitch, anybody could come and use them, anytime of day or night, for how ever long they wanted to. On arrival we was greeted by the manager, who very quickly informed us he was a Christian. One of his children had a stall selling fishing equipment, honey and some artwork she had done . I bought some artwork and my partner got some honey, she was so lovely and polite. They also had a little girl who always came over for a chat, she was telling me they don't go to school and get home taught . After a few chats she told me it was her birthday in another two days. I asked what she would like for her birthday, to which she replied a 3D pen, but she didn't think she would get it as they didn't have the money for one.. As a mum my heart broke. I wanted to order it so I asked her parents, who agreed. I went straight to order it online so she would get it in 24 hours, just in time for her birthday. It was delivered and her mother came over so I could see her open her pen, which was lovely to see her so excited. We were going home the next day, so her mum asked for my phone number to send me a picture of her first piece of art (she told me a pair of glasses). My partner also mentioned to the daughter selling her art that her would buy one, but would have to get cash from the a cash machine, as they didn't except card payments. Because of an incident that happened while away from the site, my partner was unable to get to visit a cash machine. So the next day when we were packing up to leave, (the manger) her father came over to ask my partner about buying the art work from his daughter. He explained about what had happened and was unable to get the cash. He immediately got his phone out, checked that he had his bank details and address from when we booked and messaged him his bank details, saying in the message that once he paid him £8 for the art work and £1 for delivery, he would post it out to him. Bearing in mind, I had already paid £40 for the 3D pen, £8 for one piece of art and £5 for the honey, I was absolutely disgusted that he had the cheek, especially being Christian to ask for the £1 postage, never mind the bit of pressure to buy the artwork. My partner decided when we returned home, after the amount of money we already spent and the pressure to buy the artwork, he wasn't going to purchase it. I presume because of that, I still haven't received a message with a photo of anything you young daughter has created with her 3D pen, which I'm very disappointed about. As I have said, it is a beautiful site, but unfortunately we wouldn't return because of the children's parents who manger the site.

We turned up last weekend for 2 nights as a stopover on our way to Norfolk. What a beautiful peaceful retreat. My partner loves to fish and he spent his time enjoying his several catches. We met some lovely people and the owners were so nice and accommodating. We liked it so much we booked it for 2 nights on returning home and stayed on a fab pitch. We will def be back. Pub not far and we took our bikes
