About The Green Dragon
The Green Dragon occupies a solid spot on South Street in Wellington, the kind of building whose bar and dining room suggest a long history of serving travellers passing through this part of Somerset. It has the feel of a proper local inn rather than a chain hotel, with a garden to sit out in and a 24 hour reception for guests coming and going at odd hours.
Rooms are en-suite and family rooms are available, with drinks and kids' meals catering to those travelling with children. Breakfast is served on site, and the restaurant and bar mean there's no need to leave the building for a meal, though there are further pubs, restaurants and eateries nearby for anyone who fancies a change of scene. Free WiFi covers the practical side of things.
Wellington itself is well placed for exploring the surrounding area, with a golf course and local entertainment within reach for those wanting to fill their days. It's a straightforward, comfortable base rather than a destination in itself, suited to guests who want a good bed, a decent meal and easy access to what Somerset has to offer.
