Camping in Wells-next-the-Sea

Wells-next-the-Sea and its immediate surroundings are well provided with camping and touring options, ranging from a large established holiday park right beside the town's own beach to smaller, family-run sites tucked into the farmland and villages just inland. The flat, sheltered landscape behind the dunes and salt marsh suits both big holiday parks with extensive facilities and quieter, more low-key touring pitches, and several sites make the most of direct or near-direct access to the coast path and beach.

Facilities vary considerably, from full-scale parks with shops, play areas and a choice of pitch types through to smaller sites geared towards tents, campervans and simple touring stays without the crowds of a bigger park. All three sites detailed below are in or within a few miles of Wells itself, making them a practical and often considerably cheaper alternative to a hotel room for exploring the town, Holkham estate and the wider north Norfolk coast.
