About Bank Farm Caravan Park
Tucked into the Breiddens at the very edge of Powys, Bank Farm Caravan Park offers the rare pleasure of straddling two countries – Wales on one flank, Shropshire on the other. This small working farm has been welcoming campers for over 80 years, and the family's long tenure shows in thoughtful touches: a games room and snooker table, a football pitch, a play area for children, and even an on-site jacuzzi for post-walk muscle therapy. Sheep and cattle still graze the fields, and local woodlands harbour roe deer if you're patient enough to spot them. Fishing is available on site, too.
The location puts you within easy reach of Powis Castle's gardens (20 minutes), Shrewsbury (25 minutes), and the Ironbridge museums (45 minutes). Facilities cover the essentials – two utility blocks (one with a family room), launderette, and dog-friendly policies year-round – though some visitors note the infrastructure can feel a touch dated in places. Still, for a quiet, border-hopping stay with genuine farmyard character, Bank Farm delivers.

We came here for a weekend camping and couldn’t fault the experience. The campsite is located with lovely views of the countryside. We were met by Rob who was very friendly and he took us to our pitch, he let us go whenever we wanted as it was quiet. The amenities were all clean and close to the camping pitches. Rob told us we could book the jacuzzi so we booked that for the next day. The jacuzzi is lovely and big! Such a lovely perk! Rob let us have late check out which was much appreciated as it allowed us to dry the tent due to the rain the previous day. Would definitely recommend the site and will be hopefully be returning next year! Theres also a pub/Indian restaurant about 7 minutes walk away on a path which is lovely!

Great little family run campsite. Perfect for Daniel’s with children with its play area and football pitches. Farm animals to watch and the jacuzzi and games rooms are an added bonus

What a great stay at Bank Farm, the owner could not have been more helpful and accommodating. We were a group of three and were setup in our little area within the paddock, we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves with our own little setup! The site is in two parts, some seasonal pitches and statics on the one side of the road, whilst other seasonal tourers, tents and caravans on the other. No matter where you are pitched though you can’t help to be impressed by the surrounding sloping hills and the beautiful scenery. Pitches are grass with electric and there are various water points - the source coming from the farms own well ! The facilities are modern and well kept, although for the size of the site, they could do with a couple more but it’s not a show stopper. Overall a really well kept site, which is on the list for return.
