What visitors say
Very interesting historic buildings, pleasant courtyard to sit outside, also spacious and level car park for our motorhome. Excellent food and service in the cafe, we really enjoyed the breakfast. An unusual venue, well worth a return visit.

I have to say I have some very special places I love to visit over the UK but this is my favourite. This weekend felt like home, beautiful building landscape and amazing people. Highly recommend visiting and especially any events or festivals that are being held there.

OK we didn't go on the best of days, the display was interesting with a lot of focus on diet. The video was OK. No access to any dormitories which is a disappointment. Toilets there but not pleasant. Cafe welcoming but limited,

A good example of a Victorian workhouse. Students of this historical period would find it useful as well as those with a casual interest. The site is clearly in the process of renovation and will be interesting to see when it's fully completed. There are areas with a few different 'shop' areas in and an art gallery. There's also a small visitors centre with a video presentation.
