You arrive at Laurel Pod to find a self-contained space where everything sits on one level. The moment you step inside, the open-plan layout reveals a living area with a smart TV, dining space and kitchen in one fluid arrangement, with a bedroom and shower room branching off. The kitchen has a two-ring hob, microwave and fridge-freezer for self-catering; heating and air conditioning keep the temperature comfortable year-round. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided.
The pod sits on a working farm in the Lancashire countryside, with a private hot tub for two positioned in the rear garden. There is parking for one car on site and an electric charging point available. Walking and cycling routes begin at the door, and a traditional pub serving food lies within five minutes on foot. Ormskirk town centre, about two miles away, has shops, restaurants and bars, plus a train station with direct service to Liverpool in just over thirty minutes. Burscough, four miles distant, hosts a wharf with arts, crafts and food venues. The seaside towns of Southport and Crosby Beach—both under thirty minutes' drive—offer sandy beaches, a funfair and the Antony Gormley sculptures on the coastal path. No smoking inside the property.

The Farm is situated in a very nice area and on the whole is a good place to stay. However I would not class it as luxury as advertised, there were multiple small repairs and and general maintenance issues which will be forwarded to the owners directly. We have stayed in many beautiful cottages so have a good idea of what to expect on arrival. We had to go out immediately to buy T towels and cleaning products, a basic in our opinion. The swimming pool and hot tub were great, but no additional towels provided for these facilities. Some of the crockery, coffee machine and hoover has seen better days. Hard to say if the chorine levels were checked daily by the end of the week the water did not smell fresh as it should do if levels are correct

We have just had a lovely weekend in the Laurel pod, Amazing, spotlessly clean, everything you need, private hot tub and a welcome hamper which was a lovely touch, lovely owners, we will definitely return

Loved our stay the barn was gorgeous hot tub and pool wonderful, nice area plenty to see and do unfortunately we didn't get to meet the owners as they were on holiday

Totally Perfect stay at Laurel Pod. We had a fantastic weekend here with everything you could need in the pod including a fabulous welcome hamper. Not far from the historic market town of Ormskirk this pod is perfectly situated. The farm in beautiful with plenty of open space. The pod and hot tub are private and secluded. Totally fantastic we will return in the future.
