Stonegarth

The Royal Oak Inn is a short walk away, and the village park sits just across the road—useful anchors if you're planning a family break or a couple's getaway. Stonegarth itself is a two-bedroom cottage sleeping four, with a generous living and dining space that works equally well for families or two couples. The first bedroom has a king bed; the second contains two single beds that zip together. Downstairs there's a shower room and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, and the rest. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included.

Outside, an enclosed garden with patio and seating makes a natural base for sitting out or letting children and pets run about. There's room for two cars on the drive, and a bike store for exploring the lanes. One dog stays free. No smoking inside.

The location suits touring. The Lincolnshire coast is 30 minutes away; Lincoln's cathedral and castle are 25 minutes south. The Wolds villages, dotted with tea rooms and pubs, are within half an hour's drive. Hemswell Cliff has antique dealers and regular markets. Market Rasen races, Newark's marina and showground, and good walks and cycle routes throughout the surrounding countryside are all accessible for a day out or longer exploration.
