You arrive at Conn Cottage to find three bedrooms spread across two floors: a double with ensuite on the first floor, a kingsize and a bunk room sharing a family bathroom. Ground level holds the living spaces—a sitting room with woodburner and smart TV, a shower room, and a kitchen/dining room opening directly onto the garden through patio doors. The essentials are covered: electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels all included, and the kitchen is properly equipped for cooking rather than making do.

The real draw is the outdoor space. A private hot tub sits on the enclosed patio with garden furniture, and the property backs onto a stream that once powered a neighbouring corn mill—the water and Lakeland stone walls give the cottage genuine character without trying too hard. A small or medium dog stays free. The cottage sits in Bampton, a quiet hamlet in the Lowther Valley; Bampton Valley Stores is nearby for supplies and basics, and there are pubs within walking distance. From here you can access the Lake District hills, the Yorkshire Dales and Teesdale without hours of driving. No smoking inside; check-in is after 5pm and you leave by 10am.
