Dolphin Cottage

Dolphin Cottage sits on the ground floor with everything at the same level—two steps to the entrance, then a bedroom, bathroom, and open-plan living space all on one floor. The bed is a zip-and-link super king (or two singles on request), and the kitchen has what you need to cook: electric oven, hob and microwave. What makes it different is the outlook: the cottage faces the water, and you can watch across Morecambe Bay from the armchair, the dining table, or the balcony. A small dog can come with you.

Grange-over-Sands is a traditional seaside town with independent cafés, restaurants and shops clustered around the centre. The beach is a couple of minutes' walk away. Cartmel village, famous for sticky toffee pudding and home to L'Enclume (a Michelin-starred restaurant that books well ahead), is nearby. Essentials like electricity, heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included. There is private parking for one car. The cottage is non-smoking.
