Lowther Gardens is a first-floor apartment in Grange-over-Sands, a Victorian and Edwardian resort town on the Cumbrian coast. The building sits in the heart of things, within a few hundred yards of independent shops, pubs and cafés, and opens onto a landing with good storage space for coats and shoes. The two generous bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed, are matched in size and have built-in wardrobes. A main bathroom with bath and separate shower serves the bedrooms, and a second toilet is tucked across the landing.
The kitchen has proper preparation space, a gas cooker and washing machine, plus a breakfast table for eating in. The living and dining room is bright and comfortable with a television and electric fire. Heating, hot water, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are provided, and private parking for two cars sits on site. One pet is welcome.
Grange itself rewards exploration: ornamental gardens with a lake, a promenade with changing art exhibitions, and views across Morecambe Bay's sands. The estuary and surrounding countryside draw birdwatchers and nature lovers, with several reserves and protected sites nearby. From here, Holker Hall, Cartmel Racecourse, and Grizedale Forest are within easy reach, as is the Southern Lakes area. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment.
