Riverbank Cottage
Westmorland and Furness
View on Google MapsRiverbank Cottage is a detached holiday home positioned right beside the River Eden, twenty yards from the water and close to an old pack horse bridge. The river views and surrounding farmland towards the Howgill Fells form the backdrop to this small property near Kirkby Stephen town centre. Inside, you get a ground-floor open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area and shower room, plus a first-floor bedroom with a double bed. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer, so you can cook proper meals rather than rely on takeaways. Electric underfloor heating and wall heaters keep the cottage warm, and Wi-Fi is provided throughout.
Everything needed for a short break is included: bed linen, towels and electricity. A single car can park on site. One small dog is welcome; smoking is not permitted. The town centre is a two-minute walk away, with a pub, shop and restaurant within 200 yards. Kirkby Stephen stands on the Coast to Coast walk and sits in the Eden Valley between the Lake District and the Dales. The Settle to Carlisle railway line, regarded as one of the most scenic routes in the country, is two miles away.
