The Moorings

Grange-over-Sands sits on the coast south of the Lake District, with sand and sea to explore and hills beyond. The Moorings is a three-storey 1920s house near the town centre, positioned high enough to take in panoramic views across water and landscape. The property sleeps seven across three bedrooms: two kingsize on the first floor (one with ensuite), and three singles on the second floor. There are three bathrooms—one ensuite, one family bathroom, and one shower room on the ground floor—so mornings needn't become complicated.

The ground floor holds the main living space: a kitchen and dining room with two ovens and an induction hob for cooking proper meals; a separate utility with washer and dryer; and a sitting room with a wood burner and large windows capturing those views. The initial logs for the burner are included. An enclosed garden with seating and a barbecue lies to the rear, with parking for up to three cars and a bike store. Essentials like bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are covered, and travel equipment for younger children is available. No smoking inside. Grange-over-Sands itself has shops, restaurants and a beach; families tend to use it as a base for walking, cycling or visiting Cartmel Priory and the surrounding fells.
