About Premier Inn Weymouth

Gateway Business Park sits on the outskirts of Weymouth, within reach of the town's harbour and seafront, and it's here that Premier Inn Weymouth offers a straightforward base for exploring the Dorset coast. The surrounding area gives easy access to watersports, fishing, golf and horse riding, while the harbour and beach are a short trip away for a proper dose of sea air.

The hotel has 106 rooms across two floors, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and drinks available in-room, with accessible rooms also on offer. There's a lift, 24 hour reception and free on-site parking, which makes arriving by car simple. Breakfast is served on site, and there's a restaurant and bar for evening meals and drinks, though the restaurant isn't always open, so it's worth checking ahead if you're planning to eat in.

Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the hotel's prices are considered good value alongside the free parking. Beyond the hotel, Weymouth's pubs, bars and restaurants are close by, along with entertainment options for those wanting a night out after a day on the coast.

Definitely not a luxury experience, but we managed our expectations and left fairly satisfied. Great aircon in the room kept it at a nice temperature allowing us to get a good nights sleep. Really quiet location, no busy streets, or night life around. Price was too high, but end of June at a short notice didn’t give us many better options.

Stayed as was working nearby. Bottom floor room. Room looked lovely at first glance then when you look closer there are bits that need some tlc. Had an ok night's sleep. Food hut was really good with simple breakfast bits. Lady working there was brilliant.

Considering most Premier Inn’s are an “it’ll do,” this place does it to a high standard. The room I had was clean and spacious, with good aircon, and a shower with good water pressure (always a must to me). The location of the hotel is a little out of the centre of Weymouth, however, it’s a quick drive or a 30 minute walk to the beachfront. However, there’s plenty of supermarkets and easy diners nearby (Costa/McDonalds). No dine in breakfast, however, the grab and go stall is a nice, quick alternative, with nice coffee and fresh pastries. Would certainly come back if I’m in the area

Considering the new slogan is “you know what you’re getting”, this particular Premier Inn fell far short of expectations when I stayed recently. I arrived at reception and had to wait for the receptionist to finish having an unprofessional rant about a colleague with another member of staff. I was told all the Premier Plus rooms came with just a shower, rather than a bath tub too. However another guest on the same floor said they had a bath. So presumably the hotel staff just couldn’t be bothered to change my room allocation to suit my preference. That was really poor customer service. The carpet in my room had numerous coffee and bleach stains. A distinct lack of cleaning evident. The bed had not been made up tidily. The Baylis & Harding body wash gels had been refilled using the standard gel rather than the posh lavender and amber and oud fragrances. The air conditioning seemed ineffective set to 19 degrees and the room got uncomfortably warm because the window was sealed. Overall it was clear there had been no checks made by a supervisor and the cleaner must have been having a bad day when they prepared my room. Very disappointing indeed.
