The cottage itself spreads across two floors. Downstairs, a living room with an open fire and patio doors leads to a garden with seating and a BBQ; a bedroom contains a four-poster double bed. Upstairs holds a kitchen and dining area with an electric oven, hob, microwave, coffee machine and washing machine, plus a bathroom with a bath and shower. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, along with initial fuel for the fire. There is on-site parking for two cars. The property sleeps two and welcomes one pet at no extra cost.

The area suits those wanting to explore on foot or by bike—Shearwater Lake has miles of woodland paths, and there's a pet-friendly café overlooking the water. Further afield lie Bath, Salisbury, Stonehenge and Stourhead. Note that there are eight garden steps, and smoking is not permitted inside.
