Maple Lodge

Maple Lodge works well for two people wanting their own space in Corsham, a substantial market town on the southern edge of the Wiltshire Cotswolds. The whole property is yours alone, set back from the owner's home with its own enclosed garden and patio. Everything is on the ground floor: a kingsize bedroom, shower room, and an open-plan living area that combines lounge and kitchen, with doors opening onto the patio.

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking—electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer are all there. The lounge has a 40" smart TV and sofa bed, and the heating, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included. You have private parking for one car, about 30 yards from the lodge. Smoking is not permitted.

Corsham itself is walkable, with independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants clustered in the town centre. Corsham Court displays old master paintings and sits within parkland designed by Capability Brown; the sports centre with its swimming pool is across the road. Bath lies 9 miles away by car or train from nearby Chippenham. The Pound Arts Centre, a five-minute walk away, programmes comedy, music, theatre and film.
