About The Delkin
Looking for a little luxury on your Wiltshire getaway? These spacious shepherd's huts sit on the edge of gorgeous Castle Combe village, ten minutes' drive from Chippenham, tucked into a young orchard with a large fenced outdoor area. Each hut sleeps up to three (bunk and double bed), heated by a woodburning stove, with dining table, storage, and games to borrow. Outside you'll find a shared gas-hob kitchen, firepit barbecue with wood supplied, and a woodfired hot tub complete with bathrobes and towels—perfect for stargazing on clear nights, as light pollution here is minimal.
Everything runs off-grid on solar power, so there's no TV, hairdryer, microwave or wifi, but dogs receive a particularly warm welcome with beds, bowls and towels laid on. The site makes a great base for walking, cycling and golf, though Castle Combe Circuit is only ten minutes' walk away, so expect some noise on race days. A trolley helps shift your gear from the car park, and the exclusive-use bathroom hut, while serviceable, can feel a little basic given the otherwise upmarket vibe.

What visitors say
Nice little spot just a 10 minute walk away from Castle Combe. Greeting by the host Allison upon arrival to show us around the hut and the outdoor areas. Woodfired hot-tub was lit and hot upon arrival. The hut itself was much bigger than I first anticipated. Very cosy and the little wood fire burner was on warming the place up. The hut stayed warm right through until the morning. Outdoor kitchen area was great, had everything we needed for the evening ahead including a very decent sized wood fired BBQ. Bathroom area had everything you would need and more. The beds were extremely comfortable and our dog enjoyed he's own little dog bed which was there upon arrival. Can tell that a lot of thought and care went into the setup of this place. Allison was very friendly and our dog seemed to want to go home with her at one point haha. You will be quite far away from any shops so stock up on food and drinks before you head to this spot. If the weather was nicer it would have been even better but sitting in a hot-tub that was around 40 degrees after having some barbecued ribeyes you tend not to even think about the weather at the point haha. Some of our friends seen the photos and will be booking their own getaway to The Shepherds Huts. Highly recommend

Amazing break, fantastic location, chilled vibes. Loved the little touches and decor, haven't relaxed this much in a long time. Thank you to Allison for the sweets, rosé wine, marshmallows and for getting the hot tub all heated up for us.

The Delkin shepherd's huts are amazing. You couldn't ask for a better service and the host Alison was amazing and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Situated in a beautiful area of the cotswolds and loads to do all around.

We had an awesome stay ! 10-15 minutes from Castle Combe by foot with practically no light pollution which allows for beautiful stargazing (which we weren't able to do due to a cloudy sky)
