Malmesbury, England's oldest borough, sits on a curve of the River Avon with medieval streets and weekly markets still defining its character. The Cottage is a listed property within walking distance of the 12th-century abbey, independent shops and cafés, and countryside trails that lead toward the wider Cotswolds. A pub is within a mile, and Westonbirt Arboretum and Bath are reachable for day trips.
The house spreads across three floors. Ground level has a kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, a living room with woodburner, and a separate toilet. Upstairs are two double bedrooms—one on the first floor, one tucked into the top floor—and a bathroom with shower over the bath. The back garden has a sitting area with furniture; there are steps down to a lower terrace. One car can park on site. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen, towels and initial fuel for the burner are all provided.
The cottage suits couples or small families wanting to base themselves in a historic market town with easy reach of countryside walks and the Cotswolds. No smoking inside.
