About Rouselands Farm Camping
Tucked into a quiet corner of the Wiltshire countryside, this family-run farm site offers a genuinely peaceful escape within easy reach of Malmesbury and the Cotswolds. With space for just a handful of tents and motorhomes on non-electric grass pitches, Rouselands feels refreshingly uncommercial – think evenings around a hired firepit, mornings spent feeding the farm animals, and afternoons wandering local lanes or lounging by the large fish pond.
The shower block sits a short stroll across the field and covers the basics: two hot showers, flushing loos, washing-up sinks, and coin laundry. It can feel a touch utilitarian, but the setting more than compensates. Barbecues are actively encouraged, and since this is a working farm, you can buy seasonal lamb and beef directly from the owners – a brilliant perk if you fancy cooking something truly local.
Nearby farms also sell eggs, milk, and other produce, so ask for recommendations. Dogs aren't permitted, but families and Duke of Edinburgh groups are warmly welcomed. If you're after solitude, scenery, and genuine farm hospitality without frills, this ticks every box.

We had a wonderful stay at Rouselands farm, & will absolutely be back. There were clean and very functional bathrooms with lovely hot showers which were available to access 24/7, especially helpful with younger children! The kitchen area with a kettle, microwave, fridge, plug sockets and washing up facilities again all available 24/7. There is also clothes washing facilities for a small charge, should you need them. The gorgeous up, close & personal opportunities with the very well looked after animals was an absolute bonus and again but winner for any children you bring. This was a truly magnificent, wonderfully large campsite which is managed very well so there’s no overbooking, everyone has plenty of space, along with bookable fire pits and available logs on site making a camping holiday so very easy. Last but not least, very welcoming hosts. The hosts were so helpful and lovely, we simply couldn’t fault them. They went above and beyond to help us in anyway possible. They are a wonderful family, who all help out on the farm. There is lots of ground to explore, and lots of different things to see nearby, we certainly weren’t short of things to do.

Fantastic stay here for my son’s 5th birthday. The location, facilities and hosts were all great. We were a bit worried about staying in a field during a heatwave but there were spots around the field that provided some morning or evening shade, and plenty of room to pitch a gazebo. There was so much space in the field for running around and the children loved visiting the cows. Excellent value for money, we’ll definitely be back!

Had a lovely bank holiday stay here with some friends and our children. It was a great stay, hot showers and hot washing up facilities as well as clean toilets. The provision of a fridge/freezer as well as a microwave and kettle in the washing up area was a nice touch. The ground was a bit uneven and fractured leaving some big cracks and holes but given the stretch of hot weather we've had it was understandable and after a few hours we aclimatised to it and falling down the gaps became a source of laughter, but on a serious note as long as you were mindful of the ground it was ok. The field was lovely and flat where we pitched and given that it is a small site, any pitch was within a short walk to the amenities. As it is a working farm, we didn't see much of the owners but when we did, they were very friendly and were happy for us to look at the cattle in the barn which was great for the children. Their children were also super friendly. The layout of the pitches also allowed no-one to be over looked and good views all round. Bring a kite!!! With no over head dangers the children enjoyed taking advantage of the winds that came through, just keep hold of the handle unlike one of the fellow camping families who provided some entertainment of chasing their kite across the field to no avail. All in all, we will definitely come back. Thank you

Arrived late to this lovely quiet location, the cattle song calmed down by nightfall and we watched as the red and orange sky filled the screen. The next morning the owner was busy cutting the grass and she greeted us warmly. The amenities were clean and tidy and the showers were hot, (I don’t take hot showers), but I won’t complain. Wouldn’t that be funny!? We enjoyed the lack of bells and whistles and appreciated the human warmth. We’re going to be back!
