About White Hart Hotel
The White Hart Hotel occupies a traditional coaching inn building on West Street in Wiveliscombe, the kind of solid, unpretentious Somerset pub-hotel that has long served as a stopping point for travellers heading into Exmoor National Park. Its character comes from that history as much as its facilities, with a bar, restaurant and garden giving it the feel of a proper village local rather than a corporate chain hotel.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and family rooms are available, with drinks in room and breakfast included as standard. The bar and restaurant serve meals throughout the day, with a snack bar, kids' meals and packed lunches catering to different needs, and a games room offering something to do when the weather turns. Free WiFi and 24 hour reception are provided, and pets are welcome, making it a straightforward base for those travelling with family or animals in tow.
Outside, there's a garden and outdoor seating to make the most of quieter moments, while free on-site parking removes one of the usual hassles of a rural stay. The wider village offers pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, and Wiveliscombe's position makes it a sensible starting point for days spent exploring Exmoor National Park.
