We stayed in the Apple Tree house for a week in June. Everything was super clean and comfortable. Great hot tub and swimming pool with lots of allocated swimming times. The garden is a nice size and completely secure for your dog. Plus leaving dog treats & play toys is a really nice touch. Great communication with the owner before hand and all the staff are super friendly and helpful. Local pub serves good food and all the locals are really friendly too enjoying a chat and bringing over treats for our dog.

We had the most wonderful stay. The tree house is beautiful and thoughtfully put together - incredibly comfortable, with stunning light, every window a different view, and a garden that feels genuinely private and peaceful, not overlooked at all. The little details really stood out. The whole environment was genuinely restorative, good for the soul. The slide, private pool and hot tub were all real highlights - very much enjoyed by my 9 year old son and I. Highly recommend!

We stayed in the Apple Tree House for 4 nights during the October half term. We enjoyed our stay as it was peaceful, comfortable and cosy but I would describe it as lovely rather than luxury. There were lots of visible signs of wear and tear inside the property (for example, holes in the walls, curtains hanging off the hooks, a broken blind pull cord and what looked like a green felt tip stain on the wood floor in the kitchen) and outside, the hot tub cover had perished in various places. It was clean but not spotless as there were cobwebs above head height in most of the rooms and dust on some of the home accessories such as the imitation plants and wall shelving. The hot tub hadn't been set correctly before we arrived so it was too cold to use on the first night and for most of the second day. The owners did respond quickly when I reported it, though, and we were able to use it on the second night. Dressing gowns were provided for the adults but not for the children which was odd. We enjoyed the swimming pool, although it lacks a toilet which is not great if you have very young children or you are a woman of a certain age! There were some thoughtful touches such as a new toy and treats for the dog, fresh flowers and a welcome pack containing sweet and savoury snacks. The local pub, The New Inn, is delightful. The food was excellent and the staff were very welcoming. It is also dog friendly. We would recommend a trip to Dunster, a really pretty medieval village, and a steam train trip on the West Somerset Railway (although we weren't able to complete our return journey as the locomotive broke down and we ended up having to take the bus back to Bishops Lydeard station where our car was parked! On the plus side, the bus arrived on time, the driver was very helpful and it was a nice, new electric bus). We would consider returning if the price was more in line with the condition of the property or it was brought up to a luxury standard.

We have just got back from staying at the Apple Treehouse with our 3 year old twins. It was an amazing holiday from start to finish. The holiday app that gets sent for you to download before you arrive is great and provides all the information you will need. The welcome bags left for the twins were adorable. The tree house itself is brilliant, the slide is so much fun and the twins loved it. It is quite fast. The swings in the garden and the mud kitchen in the wooden play area underneath the house were fantastic for the kids and for the adults the hot tub was great. The use of the private pool at certain times was utterly fabulous. There’s so much to do and see close by too. We went to Dunster Castle which was a great family day out, we also went to Tarr steps which was beautiful and a great walk with toddlers. Overall we had a brilliant time and our twins didn’t want to leave (neither did we). Thank you
