A quiet corner of Wolverhampton hides this 13-room hotel, decked out with quirky historical memorabilia and genuinely helpful staff.

About Barons Court Hotel

Wolverhampton is a city of contrasts, and on Goldthorn Hill, away from the busier centre, Barons Court Hotel offers a calm base with easy access to the wider West Midlands, including Birmingham's ICC. It's a small hotel with just 13 rooms, each kept clean and comfortable, and several benefit from good views over the surrounding area. The building has real character, filled with historical memorabilia that gives it a quirky, personal feel rather than a generic corporate one.

Guests have use of a restaurant and bar on site, along with a garden, gym, and a spa and sauna for relaxing after a day out. Breakfast is included, though it's worth noting that it doesn't always run as smoothly as advertised. The hotel also offers meeting rooms and wedding facilities, porter and concierge services, and free on-site parking, making it a practical choice for both business stays and family visits. Pets are welcome too.

Staff are consistently described as friendly and accommodating, and the hotel is generally seen as good value for what's on offer. Nearby, there are pubs, restaurants and other entertainment options within easy reach, making Barons Court Hotel a straightforward base for exploring Wolverhampton and beyond.

I’ve stayed at Barons Court Hotel over 10 times now through work and it’s always been a great experience. The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, which makes a big difference when you’re away from home a lot. The location is really convenient too – close enough to town without being right in the middle of the noise, so it’s nice and quiet. The rooms are always comfortable and have everything you need for a good stay. What really stands out about this place is the character. If you’re into history or films, there’s loads of old memorabilia around the hotel – classic movie posters, vintage items, and unique pieces everywhere you look. It gives the place a really interesting feel and makes it different from your standard hotel. Overall, a reliable place to stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to keep coming back. Highly recommend 👍

Horrible place. The rooms were vile and unclean. The inside of the kettle was black, roof was leaking, exposed wires, bedsheets were stained, shower head was coming off. I left the same day and stayed elsewhere. They offered me a refund and then did not follow up on his promise and blocked our calls. Hotel.com cannot get hold of them either.

Probably one of the worst places I've stayed, dont let the pictures fool you. Hotel looks like its shut down from the front when its actually just run down. Hallways absolutely stink of pee & weed & stale smoke, the room isnt much better. The carpets need cleaning & cobwebs needs dusting away. Couldn't have a bath or shower because hot water was coming out the hot and cold tap and it was boiling. Mattress was absolutely terrible. Spend your money elsewhere
