About Shrubbery Guest House
Round-the-clock reception is an unusual find at a family-run B&B, but Shrubbery Guest House keeps someone on hand at all hours for guests arriving late or needing a hand. It occupies 38 Barbourne Road in Worcester, within easy reach of Worcester Cathedral and the River Severn, making it a practical base for exploring the city on foot.
Rooms are bright and informally furnished, each with its own en-suite bathroom, and guests can order drinks or room service rather than heading out for every need. Breakfast is included, and free WiFi runs throughout the property, so it suits both those settling in for the evening and those working on the road.
Beyond the front door, there's a fair spread of things to fill the day: golf and fishing nearby for the more active, plus pubs, bars, restaurants and other eateries within easy distance for evenings out. It's a straightforward, well-placed spot for a night or two in Worcester.

What guests say
Great little B&B! Lesley, who lives in and runs it, is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is tailored to your preference, freshly made and very tasty. Feels more like a home compared to other hotels. Rooms are very clean and well equipped, lovely part of town, just far enough out of the town centre to avoid the noise, but an easy walk in and to foregate station. Surrounded by lots of lovely parks and streets, named after their industrial beginnings, like pump house, little London etc.

Fabulous guest house just a10-15 minute walk into the centre of Worcester. Scrupulously clean throughout. The host made us feel really welcome and at home. As a vegan she ensured my needs were also catered for and I didn't miss out. The breakfast was hearty, she ensured I also had biscuits and soya milk in our room and the toiletries were vegan friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Well located just North of the city centre, good quality room, good breakfast. Excellent hospitality and Shady the cat. Not overtly Monty Python themed - but subtle moments of homage can be found. Perhaps named for a nearby street. Next time I'm in Worcester I will be looking to return. I Suspect Shady is a later incarnation of one of the Knights who say "ni".
