About The Pear Tree Inn & Country Hotel
Smite Lane runs through open Worcestershire countryside, and it's here that The Pear Tree Inn & Country Hotel sits back from the road behind its own gardens, giving the place a settled, rural feel despite being close to Worcester itself. The grounds include a beer garden and outdoor seating, making the most of the surrounding fields when the weather allows.
Rooms are well kept and come with en-suite bathrooms, with family and accessible options available, plus drinks and room service for those who want to stay put of an evening. The hotel runs a traditional pub and restaurant on site, serving breakfast, packed lunches and kids' meals, with a snack bar and bar for anything in between. There's also free WiFi throughout, 24 hour reception, and meeting rooms alongside a wedding venue with its own bridal suite for those planning something more formal.
Free on-site parking makes it an easy base for exploring the area, with walking and cycling routes nearby along with golf, horse riding and further pubs and restaurants close by. It's a straightforward, comfortable stopping point for anyone wanting Worcestershire countryside without straying far from Worcester.

What guests say
The hotel it's self isn't in use, but the cafe on the side is. Lilians Tea Room. Friendly staff, cosy place with a country side feel. Cakes are delicious. Just right for a get together with friends. Given 4 stars as its asking about the hotel and not the cafe/Tea room we visited. Well worth a visit.

I really couldn't recommend this to any class of traveller. Very tired rooms where someone has gone to town "upcycling" the aged furniture. Plastic coated MDF doesn't upcycle particularly well! I didn't book breakfast, I asked on check-in about breakfast and was told I hadn't booked it so couldn't have it. Very questionable "Greek" restaurant on site - I opted to collect a Pizza from town as a safer option. Really quite expensive for what you get, I'd booked on the price thinking it was a mid-level hotel; actually it was a low level motel. I should have stayed in the Travelodge for £38.

Very dated, only 1 staff member doing every thing, maybe 50 guests max when I stayed but on the positive side I had the best sleep for a long time.

If I could give them 0 stars I would, at first the the place seemed very pleasant but ones settling in the staff were very rude and not helpful at all. At first glance the room looked nice but within 5 minutes of being in the room, it was visible that it hadn’t been cleaned properly, the sheets were stained with some sort of dark brown substance, the bathroom was left in a state. When questioning a member of staff they gave us great advice of “Clean it yourself” very kind of them. Not to mention overhearing staff talk about getting frisky in guests rooms when cleaning and that if things of value were left they would take them home for their own family. Would highly recommend rethinking of booking at this venue, very upset with our stay!!!
