Brookside Cottage

Brookside Cottage is a detached house in Wyre sleeping eight across four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The main bedroom has an ensuite with bath and shower; two others have ensuites with shower cubicles. The fourth bedroom contains bunks. Downstairs, the open-plan kitchen and living room look onto an enclosed lawned garden where a stream flows 20 yards away, fenced for safety. The sitting area has garden furniture and parking for four cars is on site.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave. An open fire heats the ground floor (fuel included), while oil central heating serves the rest of the property. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all provided. One pet stays free of charge.

Walks start from the doorstep into Lancashire countryside; the Lancaster Canal is half a mile away for walking and cycling. The Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, lies within easy reach for fell walks or driving the Trough. The market town of Garstang is three miles off, offering shops and cafés. A country pub serving food stands 400 yards away. Lancaster itself, eight miles distant, has the castle, museums and other attractions. Smoking is not permitted inside.
