The Falls of Feugh lies within easy reach of Clachnaben – a detached lodge where you can watch salmon fighting upstream through rapids, or explore the castles and gardens scattered across Deeside. Banchory itself has restaurants and pubs; the wider area draws visitors for cycling, fishing, and walking. Ground-floor living makes it straightforward for families with young children or anyone who prefers not to manage stairs.

All three bedrooms and both bathrooms sit on one level. The main bedroom has a double bed and ensuite shower; the second has two singles; the third contains bunk beds. An open-plan living and dining space connects to a kitchen fitted with electric cooking and a dishwasher. A decked area with garden furniture overlooks the grounds – useful for morning coffee or evening drinks when the weather allows. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; the laundry facilities are shared with other properties on-site, as are the garden grounds. Two cars can park on the property. One dog stays free. No smoking indoors.

Quite a chilled walk in from the main parking area. The route begins to get noticeably steeper as you leave the woods, and only gets steeper. It's a fair pull, but taken in stages it's very do - able for the average walker. No scrambling or scree, as far as I was aware, only when you get to the tor and you choose to do a bit of scrambling/rock climbing. Be aware that the weather may be milder in the glen as you walk in, and decidedly colder at the summit, especially if you go in February. Personally, I love this wee hill walk.

Easy access from the car park .took me 4 hrs with stops to admire the view. Should take a good Walker 3hrs.. last section is stepped and a tad steep so a bit tiring for my worn out knees..the views make it all worth while. Waterproofs and good shoes are always handy.
