Ben Macdui is a detached lodge sleeping six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms spread across a single storey near Banchory in Aberdeenshire. The master bedroom holds a double bed and has its own ensuite shower; a twin room and a bunk room complete the sleeping arrangements. The open-plan living space centres on a wood burner, with a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge all present—and a dining area flowing from it. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, along with initial fuel for the stove.
Outside, decked seating and shared grounds give you somewhere to sit with views into the surrounding woodland. Parking for two cars is private to the lodge. Dogs stay free, and families with young children will find a travel cot and highchair available. The lodge is on a small site with other properties, and you share access to laundry facilities—a washing machine and tumble dryer in an external utility room. Banchory itself is close by, offering pubs, tearooms and restaurants; The Falls of Feugh, where salmon jump the river in season, lies just outside town. No smoking inside the property.

Great place to stay. Beautiful lodge with everything you could possibly need. The owner is just lovely and so helpful. We had a fabulous little welcome basket with fresh eggs, biscuits etc. Fabulous stay and would highly recommend.

Absolutely gorgeous. Slightly dodgy WiFi but everything else outweighs this. Cosy, well stocked, comfy beds. Would very happily return.

Stayed here in 2019 as part of a visit to the local area to lift the Dinnie Stones. Absolutely beautiful accommodation with great facilities and a very accommodating host. Loads to do in the area and stunning scenery. Recommended.
